Manufacture Materials:
Fence spikes should ideally be manufactured from polypropylene plastic.
A fence spike should be flexible enough to permit installation into awkward areas, shapes and corners – for example, drain pipes and arched doorways.
Many fence spikes are brittle and not shatter-resistant which means that a blow from a crowbar could shatter them, rendering them useless.
Polypropylene construction ensures flexibility and are intrinsically anti-brittle by nature.
Construction:
Cones should be solid in construction.
Many fence spikes are not solidly constructed. To save on production costs, the cones are often hollowed-out. This saves on weight but compromises the effectiveness of the fence spike.
Imitations:
Quasar Security retails only the original quality fence spike - solidly constructed, robust, not hollowed-out and made from durable UV-resistant polypropylene.
